Fashionista Finds – All Around Lima
So today´s post is a lot of randomness… but I hope you will enjoy my Peruvian loves… above is the posse I have been chillin´with! I never knew that I would make such good friends on a volunteer mission… score!
Visited a much loved Italian restaurant here in Lima… Mama Lola´s! Delicious in-house pizza´s and home made pastas… fresh, tasty and simplistic… hitting all the right spots… they also let you write on the walls, sooooooo… of course I had to represent!!!
Who knows… maybe someone will look it up randomnly from eating here… I will keep you posted! This world works in strange and mysterious ways, I don´t doubt the possibility…

Fashionista Finds – Peruvian Delights!
First off, I want to say a big warm thank you to all who left a positive comment on my last post! I was not expecting to get that strong of a response and I am truly flattered with everything everyone had to say! I would like to thank the anonymous hater for writing that comment… it really showed me who my cyber friends are and that I have an awesome support system right here in my own “backyard”. Love you guys… really, I cannot say it enough. You made my day and made me smile to the point of no return. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! Best followers in the WORLD!!!
So… I have to be brief, as the internet cafe is closing soon and the internet is so slow here it took about an hour to upload all these pics… leaving not much time for chit-chat. Also… Vlad is falling asleep right beside me and constantly reminding me that he wants to go to sleep… can someone please tell me what is so different about having kids or a bf?!? I still end up feeling sometimes like a babysitter ;p
Alright! Finally some Peruvian fashion finds! We stumbled upon a complete bridal mall when we were in downtown Lima… these are some of the super cool, super imaginative dresses on display. How effing cool?!!?

What an awesome theme for a wedding… tacky… yes… but love love love the concept!
Peru has some of the most beautiful architecture I have ever seen. I have never been to Europe aside from London, however I imagine a lot of the style and influence comes from Spain… lots of Baroque styling and pastel colors. The balconey’s here are to die for! All hand carved with handmade glass. Gorgeous!

Chillin’! Vlad and I actually fell asleep here for about an hour the first day in Lima… we were soooo tired and jetlagged! There was a flute player right across the street who played lullaby-like tunes until we dozed off.

Hopefully I will get to see a live llama by the time the trip is over ;p

How true is this quote… I cannot even begin to explain… Some women can handle being in a relationship ruled by a man. Some can handle being suffocated and held down from achieving their dreams. Some can accept that no matter how devoted they are to their man, they will never see it returned. Some can put their lives on hold for another, only to find out in the end that their lives are already over.
I am proud to say that I am not, and never will be one of these women. I have found my wild match who, chases me actually, and keeps me reaching for everything I ever wanted to achieve. I think that deserves me a gelato… YAY… even though I failed miserably – I am victorious!!! As a result of this challenge I have truly been enjoying summer in the great outdoors and with people I love
Theme Park Fun
Yesterday felt like the first day of summer to me… cause I went to the amusement park LaRonde here in Montreal!!! Needless to say it was AMAZING! The sun was shining, it was beautiful out and there was lots of action.

I only took this when I got home, but I got an airbrush tatoo… the classic Betty Boop! Vlad likes it but made it clear that if I got a real tatoo one day it would highten my “white trash” level. Lovely. Boys always know the right things to say…

We sported our most fashionable Zoolander faces at my favorite coffee hangout – Cafe Holts here in the 514. I ordered my regular
“Brunch Tartine” (an open-faced Parisian style toasted sandwich with poached eggs, sauteed mushrooms, smoked salmon and baked tomatoes… yuuuuuum!)
and washed it all down with some freshly squeezed O.J…. freeeeesssssh!
The b-day cake they surprised me with – half massacred… chocolate mousse in the morning… “Happy Birrrrrthday to meeeeeeeee“….

My bro, Vlad and I later celebrated my birthday with a Sunday Morning brunch at my moms (she made a delicious lemon cake I have been enjoying for breakfast in the morning) full with fresh fruit & coffee, sandwiches, and a delicious spanish omelette (one of her many specialties).
I would just like to brag a little itty bit more… I have the most amazing boyfriend, friends and family one could ever wish for!!! I am so grateful and my heart feels like its going to explode after all the generosity shown for my birthday!
A Personal Update
Ahhhh… so what have I been up to lately? I just got a new haircut (really it looks the same as before, just nicely cleaned up – couldn’t resist documenting it when its all nice and styled from the salon)!

My homegirl Jesse came by yesterday to chill with pug & I and to prepare for our pal Andy’s crazy houseparty… I am still battling the hangover as I type… ughhh…
Did a quick makeup touchup on Jesse, and then was off to spend the rest of my day with my mom! It was sunny and beautiful out and everyone in mtl was sporting their flip flops for the first time this season!
Later, Vlad(my hunny) and I stopped by work to clean up an apartment that has been rented and snuck up to our “soon to be” lovenest (we will be moving in about a week)! This is the beautiful sunset view we get from our balcony and bedroom (comes into the living and dining room too). "Friend" DeTox!
I came across this “lesson to live by” on a day that I really needed it. You see, sometimes I feel drained from the people I call friends because it seems like they only want to see me when they have a problem they need advice or help with. How many times have I been in the same situation and many of them are nowhere to be found?

Ahhhh… Valentine’s day is quickly approaching and I am so glad to have my babe! We were out this weekend for a friends 30th birthday and unfortunately got a tad food poisoned! All was good the next day though when we were both able to sleep it off… Glad I got to bring him out and show him off at least
Tonight ended up being just my babe, his friend Adam and I so we all kinda celebrated V-day together before the big day hits us. My boyfriend (Vlad – yes, as in the impaler) surprised me with a beautiful hot pink Marc by Marc Jacobs hobo bag! What could be more perfect than a heart coloured handbag on the most romantic day of the year? I must say, I have trained that boy well . We helped Adam set up his Plenty of Fish profile (he just broke up with his girlfriend of 10 years… sheesh!), and ate my crazy feast! I made oven braised salmon steaks with roasted rosemary potatoes, garlic, and baked tomatoes and mushrooms. Mmmmm mmmm good! Followed by some hot blueberry pie with Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream melted all over… still thinking about it…. (drool)! Enough comfort food there to mend any broken heart!
The icing on the cake will be on Valentine’s when we head off to Quebec City (alone – finally) for Carnival, the snow festival. I can’t wait to just have the whole day to ourselves – uninterrupted! I’m betting the ice hotel will be an instant favorite – gotta hit up that bar for a frozen martini!
